What is micro modal and how is it made?

 

Micro modal is a premium natural-based fiber derived from beechwood trees. The wood pulp is processed into an exceptionally fine yarn using advanced, controlled methods. This refinement creates fibers that are smoother, lighter, and more delicate than standard modal or cotton.

Beechwood trees grow naturally, require minimal irrigation, and regenerate quickly, making them a responsible raw material. The production process is designed to be efficient and controlled, resulting in a fabric that combines luxury with conscious craftsmanship.

 

Why micro modal is more sustainable than polyester

 

Polyester is a synthetic fiber made from petroleum. Its production relies on fossil fuels, uses high energy levels, and creates a fabric that does not biodegrade.

Micro modal, on the other hand, is made from renewable natural resources. It is biodegradable under the right conditions and has a significantly lower environmental impact when compared to synthetic fibers.

Micro modal also lasts longer in wear. Its fibers maintain softness, shape, and color over time, reducing the need for frequent replacement. Longevity is a key element of sustainability.
